Step into the ancient path of the shapeshifter — one who dances and flows between forms, voices, and states of being. In this immersive 2-day workshop, you will explore the art of transformation through deep connection with your voice, your body, and the living intelligence of Nature at the magic garden Fonte Baxa

By stripping itself of all its identities and emptying its form, the body becomes an empty vessel, unbound by name, history or expectations. It is no longer tied to a character or a role, but floats in stillness, like an empty mirror that reflects everything, but claims nothing. In this detachment there is no loss, but a return: to silence before sound, to space before structure. What remains is not absence, but potential: a womb of becoming, wide as the void. You will enter into your inner creative force, wild, formless, innate and primal. This workshop invites you to dissolve the boundaries between self and other – human, animal, wind, stone – through the transformative lens of Butoh, voice and nature-based embodiment.

Rooted in the surreal, dream-like and intuitive world of Japanese Butoh, and guided by improvisational voice and movement work, this journey offers a slow descent into otherness. Together, we shapeshift. We listen. We embody the forest, the sea, the sand, the named and also the not-yet named.

Moving through elemental rituals, somatic shapeshifting, animal mimicry, and mythic embodiment practices you will:

  • Rewild your voice
  • Deconstruct your body through Butoh’s poetic discipline
  • Reconnect with the living world in a state of deep presence
  • Awaken the primal intelligence of the body, entering liminal spaces where deep change becomes possible
  • Discover the many voices and characters within you, embodying elemental forces and archetypes.
  • Reconnect with the wild elements and shapeshifting powers of the natural world
  • Release fixed identities and invite fluidity and creativity
  • Remember the wisdom of your wild, expressive Self

No prior Butoh or dance experience required. Only a willingness to move slowly, feel deeply, and let go of form. This is an open space for artists, seekers, facilitators, and anyone longing to remember their innate capacity to transform.
